Kingston set for new growth

Following a management restructuring Kingston Reprographics Ltd (KRL) is set for renewed growth and expansion. Founded in 1985 and based in Hull, the company is one of the leading independent suppliers of document imaging systems and technology in east Yorkshire.

The company is now in the capable hands of George Baker, Managing Director and Glen Parrish, Sales Director, following a buyout of other shareholding directors. “We want to keep the company as a local, independent supplier focused on personalised customer service”, George explains.

The company has been assisted in its management restructuring by Barclays Bank in Hull. “The recession has generated a lot of discussion about the ‘credit crunch’ but we have found Barclay’s support and understanding to be excellent. If you have a healthy trading pattern underpinning the enterprise and a well formulated business plan, then funding is not a problem”, George states.

KRL has also been well supported by its principal supplier, Konica Minolta Business Solutions. “The backing we have received from Konica Minolta has been outstanding”, Glen confirms. KRL’s considerable success has been built on the Konica Minolta product line matched with KRL’s own high levels of customer service and engineering support. The company offers a three working hours guaranteed call-out response with 98 per cent of all reported faults fixed on a first visit.

“We offer a local, personal service for our customers. They know that when they call us, they will be speaking to someone who knows and understands their business, not an impersonal call-centre”, says Glen. “Providing high levels of engineering support and account management coupled with the personal touch is the key to KRL’s future expansion.”

That expansion is already underway as the company moves into the market for high-speed digital production systems aimed at the commercial print market. “The Konica Minolta range of production print systems takes us into a new market segment for future growth and it is an exciting development for us and our customers”, says Glen.
